One of a handful of people arrested in Tuesday raid of a Mission stash house raid in mission has been formally charged.
Tarcisio Ventura, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arraigned on theft and rape charges on Wednesday.
Ventura remains in custody under $350,000 in bonds.
A sexual assault investigation lead police to uncover a human smuggling ring at a stash house on Sierra Court.
Four other suspects believed to be involved in the ring have been handed over to the federal agents for further investigation.
