7/3: U.S. Marshals Seek Escaped Fredericksburg Inmate
U.S. Marshals Service on Saturday arrested a man who had escaped from a Fredericksburg jail.

Jose Rafael Guerra was arrested about 5 a.m. Saturday at the Laredo Port of Entry, attempting to come back to Texas from Mexico.

Guerra had been on the run since escaping from the Gillespie County Jail July 3. He broke free from a restraining chair and ran out through the back door of the jail.

Central Texas authorities and U.S. Marshals from across the state aided in the search for Guerra.
