20 Pleading Guilty In Pilgrim’s Pride Fake Document Bust

Twenty former Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. employees from the Mount Pleasant area taken into custody earlier in what authorities said was a crackdown on workers using illegal documents, pleaded guilty on Thursday.


Each presented a Social Security card to either get hired or keep their job knowing the card was false, said U.S. Attorney Rebecca Gregory said. They pleaded guilty to misuse of Social Security account numbers.


Entering pleas before U.S. District Judge David Folsom in Texarkana were Luis Jimenez, Arcenio Villanueva, Miguel Vuzquez, Jose Martin Lopez Pineda, Francisca Hernandez, Gamaliel Nava Aguilar, Maria Griselda Carrillo, Sergio Acosta, Arturo Garcia, Nohemi Alvarez, Javier Memije, Julio Delgado, Francisco Garcia Rodriguez, Rogelio Juarez Espinosa, Cesar Nava, Oswaldo Emigdio, Ramon Torres, Jesus Cervantes, Adon Vargus and Francisco Barza.


Each was sentenced to imprisonment equal to time served and released to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
