HIDALGO -- U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended 23 Cuban immigrants Wednesday who had illegally entered the country near the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge.
All the immigrants remained in custody Thursday to be interviewed and check their criminal and immigration history, according to a Border Patrol news release.
The immigrants may be paroled into the United States, based on the Cuban Refugee Adjustment Act.
