Honduran man rescued from Rio Grande

Border Patrol agents rescued a Honduran man who nearly drowned as he tried to swim across the Rio Grande on Thursday.

Authorities said the rescue occured south of Mission.

Border Patrol agents on river patrol spotted the Honduran man struggling in the water.

Agents were able to pull the man into the boat and take him ashore for medical treatment.

The man remains in custody for immigration processing.
