27 pounds of cocaine seized at B&M Bridge

A 27-year-old Mexican national is behind bars after he allegedly tried to smuggled 27 pounds of cocaine into Brownsville.

U.S. Customs & Border Protection officials told Action 4 News that the seizure happened at the B & M International Bridge earlier this week.

The man pulled up to the bridge in a Ford Explorer.

A seconday inspection of the vehicle revealed 27 pounds of cocaine hidden inside.

The driver was arrested and handed over to U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement officers for further investigation.
