One of Donna's most wanted fugitives is now behind bars after being extradited from Mexico.

Manuel Garcia-Martinez is believed to have participated in a 2002 murder case.

After almost six years on the run, Mexican authorities turned Garcia-Martinez over to FBI agents at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge on Monday morning.

Garcia-Martinez spent the past four years in a Mexican prison for burglary.

Officials learned he was wanted for murder in the United States and agreed to hand him over.

Donna police told Action 4 News he will be faces charges for a gang-related shooting that left Robert Torres, Jr. dead back in August of 2002.

"He was identified several years ago when the case was still active," said William McGinnis with the Donna Police Department. "Four years ago we located him. He was arrested in Mexico on a non-related robbery charge."

Donna police are still looking for Garcia's alleged accomplice Erick Harrison who is also belived to have fled to Mexico.

Anyone with information on Harrison's whereabouts is urged to call the Donna Crime Stoppers hotline at (956) 464-8477.
